Referrals

Initial appointments (including hospital follow ups) require a referral from another doctor. This can be your GP or another specialist.

The referral should be addressed to Dr  Alexander Prudence

Referrals can be delivered by:

All referrals are reviewed prior to an appointment being offered. This is to try and triage the most urgent and serious conditions to receive timely care.

In some scenarios e.g. positive fecal occult blood test (FOBT); a procedure may be arranged without a prior clinic consultation. This avoids unnecessary cost and delay.
Dr Prudence will always speak with you in the hospital prior to the procedure on the day it occurs.

Follow up appointments will have a timeframe specified by Dr Prudence.
If scans or blood tests that are required to be reviewed have not occurred prior to follow up, please call to rearrange your appointment.

If your symptoms have worsened, and you need an earlier than specified follow up appointment please ask your GP to provide an updated referral detailing what has changed. You can call our clinic on 02 6659 4400 to inform us of this change.
