Fee Information
Coffs Harbour Gastroenterology is a private practice.
We’re passionate about improving healthcare in rural and regional areas, and we want to make sure as many people as possible can access top-quality, gastroenterology care.
If you have a valid referral, you can claim part of the fee back from Medicare (Medicare Rebate), which will reduce the overall cost you pay for your consultation.
When a clinic consultation occurs, the fees are:

Private procedures are billed with a “no gap” arrangement. This means that if your private health insurance covers the procedure, your health fund and Medicare will fully cover the specialist’s fees, so you won’t have to pay any additional out of pocket costs.
If you do not have private health insurance, you can still opt to have your procedures privately. You can ‘Self Fund’, with the total out of pocket cost determined by the private hospital where the procedure takes place.
Alternatively, we can arrange for procedures at one of the public hospitals, where Dr Prudence works. This will be bulk billed, but please note that waiting times can be longer in the public system.
Payment is required on the day of consultation.
We request you settle your bill following your consultation. This can be paid via EFTPOS or credit card. If your details are registered with medicare, we are able to send a claim and Medicare will reinburse directly into your account.
